Dental Emergencies: How to React Correctly
Dr. Elena Marinescu12/5/20235 min

Dental emergencies can occur anytime and require quick reaction. Knowing the correct steps can make the difference between saving and losing a tooth.
Acute Tooth Pain
Intense pain may indicate an infection or deep cavity. Rinsing with warm water and applying a cold compress externally can provide temporary relief until the dental visit.
Broken or Knocked-out Tooth
In case of a knocked-out permanent tooth, keep it in milk or saliva and go to the dentist immediately. Chances of reimplantation are high if you act within the first hour.
Persistent Bleeding
Bleeding that doesn't stop after 10 minutes of constant pressure requires immediate medical attention. It may indicate a more serious problem requiring emergency treatment.
