   3D assessment and plan

   We measure the bone volume on the CBCT, check the proximity of the alveolar nerve and the maxillary sinus, and determine the position, axis and size of the implant, starting from the crown that will follow.

2. 02

   Placing the implant

   We place the implant in the bone under local anaesthesia, following the position planned on the images. Afterwards, some swelling and discomfort are to be expected, easing within a few days, and at the end you receive the aftercare instructions in writing: what to apply locally, what to eat in the first few days and when we see you again for a check-up.

3. 03

   Osseointegration

   The implant then integrates into the bone over the course of several months, during which bone is laid down directly onto its surface. In this period the area is checked regularly and, if the missing tooth shows when you speak or smile, a temporary solution can be worn.

4. 04

   The crown on the implant

   Once integration is confirmed clinically and radiologically, we make the abutment and the final crown, adapted in occlusion and appearance, and show you how to clean the area around them every day.

   Step 1

   3D intraoral scan

   We take a digital impression in a few minutes, without conventional impression materials, which as a rule means more comfort during the procedure. The image of your arches appears on screen in real time and can be used for planning straight away, and if an area comes out unclear we rescan it on the spot.

   Step 2

   Digital treatment planning

   Through CAD/CAM planning, we design the proposed restoration in detail before any work begins: the shape, the length, the way the tooth will sit next to its neighbours and how the bite will close. We look at the plan together on screen, adjust it until it reflects as closely as possible what you want, within the limits of what is clinically possible, and only then move on.

   Step 3

   Execution & cementation

   The restoration is milled or pressed in the laboratory, tried in and adjusted for a precise fit, then permanently cemented. The try-in before cementation is the moment when you can say what you like and what you do not, while something can still be changed. At the follow-up visits we check together that everything feels comfortable.
