What patients ask us
Digital dental X-rays use very low radiation doses, and modern equipment keeps them to a minimum. Investigations are recommended only when they are useful for diagnosis. At DentaField Clinic Bucharest we use modern digital equipment, and the staff follow protection protocols. The benefit of an accurate diagnosis far outweighs the minimal exposure involved.
A CBCT is a dental scan that provides a three-dimensional image of the bones and dental structures, far more detailed than a conventional X-ray. It is particularly useful in implantology, oral surgery, endodontics and periodontology, for precise planning. At DentaField Clinic Bucharest the investigation is carried out directly in the clinic, when the dentist considers it necessary.
Yes. An important advantage of integrated radiology is that the investigation is done directly in the clinic, often in the same session as the consultation. This way the dentist quickly has the information needed for diagnosis and a treatment plan, without sending you elsewhere. At DentaField Clinic Bucharest this saves time and increases the precision of care.
A panoramic X-ray (OPG) costs 100 RON, and a retroalveolar X-ray 40 RON. A CBCT costs between 200 RON for a single tooth and 700 RON for a full scan: 315 RON for a partial CBCT and 425 RON for one arch; measurements on the CBCT are charged separately, at 200 RON. The first consultation, which usually includes the panoramic X-ray, costs 250 RON. The full price list is available on the /tarife page.
Not necessarily. We first check whether the image you have is recent and useful for the clinical question we need to answer; if it is, we use it. We take a new radiograph only when it changes the treatment decision, not as a routine, and we keep the volume examined to the area of interest.
No. The panoramic gives an overview of the teeth and the jaw bones, and the periapical shows a single tooth and the bone around it, but neither assesses the temporomandibular joint; that needs a CBCT or an MRI. We choose the type of investigation according to the clinical question and go through the image together on screen, explaining what can and cannot be seen.
